Mr Rana Sayeed

Mr Rana Sayeed completed his training in cardiothoracic surgery at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, with a one year fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Mr Sayeed offers a broad range of adult cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass surgery and aortic valve replacement. His particular sub-specialist interest is mitral valve repair (repairing rather than replacing a diseased mitral valve), often in conjunction with tricuspid valve repair or ablation of atrial fibrillation. He has a high rate of repair for degenerative mitral valve disease (mitral valve prolapse).

Mr Sayeed remains a strong advocate for patient-focussed care and robust clinical governance to maintain the highest standards of cardiothoracic surgery.
